A message from Mr. Ali Abdo Thabet,
Tehama Managing Director

We believe a business is not successful if it is only committed to
profit. It has to be an activity which creates prosperity and well being for all
who are connected with it directly or indirectly. Profit is only a by-product
reflecting how well we are carrying out the business activity.
Our commitment firstly, is to the customer we serve as we are in business
because of him. As a Caterpillar dealer it is our aim to bring to him a quality
product which is reliable and is best suited to his job requirements. And then
we must see that it gives him the kind of productivity and service that will
realize full value for the money he has paid for it. Our relationship with the
customer does not end with a sale but starts with it.
It is to this end that Tehama has developed its manpower resources and physical
facilities over the last 25 years in Yemen. The underlying approach has been to
have a dealership which is organized for customer support and is in tune with
the current and changing needs of the country.
Tehama and its parent Thabet Group is a truly Yemeni enterprise with deep seated
roots in Yemen and is set to play a leading role in the country's economic and
industrial development, as well as training and development of its Yemeni staff.
Starting with a small ship bunkering company in Aden in 1925, the group has now
grown into a conglomerate of diversified manufacturing, marketing and service
companies.
Tehama is proud of its
association of over three decades with Caterpillar -first in Aden till 1969,
then in the northern part and now for the whole of the Unified Yemen. As a
Caterpillar dealer we are able to bring to the country not only the finest
quality products but also the expertise and know-how of a world leader in the
productive use and management of machines.
Today Yemen is accelerating towards progress and development. Tehama are closely associated in supplying the machines and services for the country's various developmental activities -building roads, power and water projects, dams, land forming, general construction, oil exploration, pipelines, transport, communication etc.
In this changing landscape of Yemen, Tehama and its Principals are together as
partners in progress.
